West Road Dental
A friendly, lifestyle-led brand website for a Houston practice.

West Road Dental wanted their website to feel as welcoming as their team. We built a friendly, lifestyle-led brand site with a scrolling services ticker, a clear Book Appointment path, and review-count social proof, plus a location-move announcement banner so returning patients always know where to find them.
- A warm, lifestyle-led hero that makes dental visits feel approachable
- A scrolling services ticker covering the practice's full treatment range
- Book Appointment and Watch Video actions in the hero
- Homepage review-count social proof for quick credibility
- A location-move announcement banner to keep existing patients oriented
The situation
West Road Dental had a team that patients genuinely liked, and a website that did not convey it. Warmth is one of the hardest things to communicate online because every dental practice claims it, which means the claim carries no information at all and has to be replaced with something a visitor can see.
The practice was also moving location, which is a specific and underrated risk. A relocation quietly breaks the two things local search depends on, the address a patient remembers and the address the internet has recorded, and existing patients are the ones most likely to be lost in the gap.
The decisions that mattered
Leading with lifestyle photography rather than clinical imagery. People who avoid the dentist are not reassured by pictures of dental equipment. Showing the experience rather than the procedure lowers the barrier for exactly the patients who are hardest to book.
Using a scrolling services ticker instead of a services list. It covers the full treatment range without giving over a whole section of the page to it, which keeps the visitor moving toward the booking action rather than reading an inventory.
Offering Watch Video alongside Book Appointment. Some visitors are not ready to book and will leave rather than commit. Giving them a lower-commitment action keeps them on the page and lets the practice do its persuading.
Running a location-move announcement banner. Unglamorous, and the highest-value element on the page during the move, because a returning patient who cannot find you is a patient you have already paid to acquire.
What to take from this
Operational changes are marketing events whether or not anyone treats them as such. A relocation, a change of hours, a new associate, or a new treatment all need to reach the website and the Google Business Profile on the same day they take effect. The practices that lose patients over a move are almost never the ones that moved badly. They are the ones that moved quietly.
What we would do next
The immediate priority after a relocation is making sure the internet agrees with reality, and that is a larger job than it sounds.
The Google Business Profile has to be updated first, because that is where most local searches resolve, but the address also appears in directory listings, insurance directories, social profiles, and any site that has ever cited the practice. Inconsistent address records weaken local ranking and, more immediately, send patients to the wrong building. Working through those systematically in the weeks after a move protects patients the practice has already paid to acquire.
Beyond the move, the natural next step is treatment-level depth. A services ticker is an efficient way to signal range, but it cannot rank, and it cannot answer questions. The treatments the practice most wants to grow deserve pages that do both.
The third area is reviews at the new location. A move resets some of the local signal, and a deliberate push for reviews mentioning the new address rebuilds it faster than waiting for it to accumulate.
Longer term, the lifestyle-led approach earns the right to be more specific. Once a practice has established that it is approachable, the pages that grow the business are the ones about individual treatments, written for the patient who has already decided they need something and is choosing where to have it done. Warmth gets a visitor to stay. Detail is what gets them to book.
It is also worth planning for the move to keep paying off. A relocation is one of the few moments a practice has a legitimate reason to contact every patient on its list, and the announcement that keeps existing patients oriented can just as easily bring back the ones who have quietly lapsed. Practices that treat a move purely as a logistics problem miss the only reactivation opportunity they will get for years.
